Remarkable

Had this app for 10 minutes and already Im so impressed.

Awesome

This is a neat and surprisingly cool app

Captures photos I thought would be impossible to take.

I am in Thailand and this app has allowed me to great photos in low light or outside at night that I dont even attempt to take with my expensive DLSR. being able to adjust the settings before saving the photo is awesome.

WOW.

I thought this app would be gimmicky, because of the promise of seemingly impossible features. This is the only app Ive ever given 5 stars, because it completely blew away my expectations and performs consistently well. Its my go to camera app now, and I would recommend to anyone. The HDR mode is far superior to the stock camera app. HDR video is really awesome and is very smooth. The lo-light is probably the second best feature. It works sooooooo well. The zoom mode is interesting. And the best feature by far is the hi-res mode. Two words: 32 megapixels. I have no idea how these various algorithms work, but they do work. Very well. Also, Hydra is the best looking camera app. Ever. Its also one of the few apps that perfectly strikes the balance between power, simplicity, and beauty. This app looks like this would have been made by the Apple of yore. Only one thing to keep in mind, this app isnt really meant to capture moving subjects, unless of course, youre in the HDR video mode. Every other mode requires at least 20 separate pictures to work properly. Not necessarily a downside, just something to keep in mind. Otherwise this app is PERFECT. Hydra, if youre listening, please dont change anything about this app. Its perfect at this moment in time. 6/5 stars. Well worth the $4.99.

Amazing!

This is my go to photography app!

Please add support for iOS 9.1

Hydra is an awesome app, although it crashes on this beta version of iOS.

Really amazing app, a unique must have! But...

Worth every penny but unfortunately it crashes instantly on iOS 9.1 public beta (country set to USA...) Even reinstalling the App didnt help. Please fix so I can rate it 5 stars!

Pay $5 for immediate crashes.

I was looking forward to trying this but crashes on iOS 9 and 9.1 both on iPhone 6Plus and iPad Air2. Disappointed to have paid for this.

Crashes

I love this app but it crashes all the time now on 9.1

iOS9 and iOS 9.1 users beware.

It was a great application when I was able to use it, but on iOS9 and iOS 9.1 it just straight up crashes when you try to open the application. I hope this gets fixed, I really like this application. Ill change the review to five stars when it stops crashing.

Still not iOS 9 compatible!

Still not iOS 9 compatible!

Amazing

This app is truly is amazing. Is incredible what I can do with my photos now. And 49 megapixels on the iPhone 6s is unbelievable.

Not as competent as hoped

All in all a good App; but does solve some problems others dont. To be fair, have only used 4 times so far.

Limited use

I would only use Hydra as a last resort for for low-light shots and zoomed in shots. Its use is very limited because it requires a still scene, a steady hand/tripod, and a long exposure time. HDR mode: In my tests, the results are inconsistent. Sometimes they look decent, and sometimes they look unrealistic. The iOS Camera app produces the best HDR photos in my opinion. Video-HDR mode: I dont notice a difference on between videos shot in this mode and videos shot in the native Camera app. Lo-light mode: Dramatically reduces the amount of noise/grain in low-lighting conditions. I love it! Zoom mode: It really does work. Im actually impressed with how much clearer the zoomed-in photo is. There is a dramatic difference, especially if theres text in the photo. However, you cant set the exposure in this mode. Hi-res mode: It does produce a higher resolution photo, but it isnt worth the requirements of a perfectly still scene and the long exposure time. The option to save the uncompressed photo is a great feature because you can really see the difference between a normal photo and a Hydra photo. Feature Requests: * The ability to set the exposure (ISO) in zoom mode.

thats amazing app

Not any better than Stock

I wish I could get my money back. Bought this on the recommendation of a reviewer who must have been paid. No better than stock or other camera apps.

Hydra

For taking pictures at night with the problems we face

Great App

Hydra is an amazing tool for still life picture. I love it and use it soooooo much.

Unstable

Crashed while I was saving a photo. Photo gone.

Disappointing...

Ive taken HD pictures with Hydra to discover they are grainy and rough. I then took pictures of the same objects with Apples default camera app, to find Apples app was much clearer and sharper. Hence Hydra will be deleted from this iPhone.
