"Hydra has the particularity of offering original features, which are missing from many competing apps."

Hydra captures more light by merging up to 60 frames to make a single high-quality picture (less noise, more highlights/shadows) on iPhone and iPad. Hydra also goes beyond the 8- or 12-megapixel sensor limit, with up to 32-megapixel high-resolution images. It uses the latest evolutions of iPhone and iPad camera hardware, as well as the latest camera APIs and GPU rendering technologies.
Hydra provides 5 specific capture modes: HDR, Video-HDR, Lo-Light, Zoom, and Hi-res modes.
• Hydras High Dynamic Range (HDR) mode is based on an alternate method that captures up to 20 images and that is made to handle even the most difficult lighting conditions.
• Video-HDR uses single-image tone mapping and device-specific sensor mode to create stunning videos.
• Lo-Light mode removes sensor noise by merging together multiple images and amplifying light by a factor of 10 to provide a better image quality.
• Zoom mode uses real-time, super-resolution technique to recreate missing pixels from hand motion, producing 2x, 4x and 8x (telephoto lens) scale factors with more details than the standard digital zooming technique(*).
• Hi-res mode produces up to 32MP images from the regular 8 or 12MP camera sensor, providing finer details in captured image(*).
• Hydra supports the telephoto & front cameras respectively in Zoom and Lo-Light/HDR modes to shoot portraits & selfies.
• Camera support: ultra wide, wide, telephoto, and front facing.
Hydra also features a photo gallery for reviewing images and their metadata, directly linked with built-in iOS photo album, thus avoiding duplicates and allowing to flag as favorites.
(*) recommended for static scenes or distant scenery. Rendering artifacts can occur for scenes with parallax and for moving subjects.
Pros and cons of Hydra › Amazing Photography app for iPhone and iPad
Hydra › Amazing Photography app good for
Quality is amazing!! Add a Timer Function in further updates!!!
The results are drastic and well worth the price. When taking pictures outdoors, your subjects hate facing the sun or squint or have shades on making them look like raccoons. This app allows you to take photos in places that all too many of us are stuck with...close to a bright window for instance. The only issue I have found is the erroneous location data, it says Im in Kazakhstan (I took the pic in Toronto). Great work and hope you get the location issue fixed soon.
This app takes great pictures but the location tagging is completely inaccurate. Please Fix.
Love this app. Does a great job. My picture location is showing up as being taken in Kazakhstan lol great app though... Definitely worth the price.
My photos show two locations--Vietnam Nam and the correct one, Mexico.
Wow. I prefer the low light mode on 8 mp. Wow. So so so beautiful. Masha Allah. Just amazing. People ragging on the devs really arent that patient. Learn how to shoot photos. Have a steady hand. On the iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6 this app is killer. Even on the 5S its really amazing. 3 mp or 8 mp on the 5S is ideal. The Air 2 and iPhone 6/6+ can handle the 12 mp easily or higher. Just love this app.
Some bad moments
If you have an iPhone 6 or Plus, you really dont need this app. If youre shooting moving things, forget about this app. It finally just assembles about 40 pics to get a mediocre 32mpx result. Colors become poorer than with the stock app.
The night option is a joke and so is the "zoom" (and the rest).
For 5€, I find it very expensive for what it does.
Dont waste your money hoping youll get higher definition on your pics, you really wont.
HDR constantly crashes on iPod touch 5th, very frustrating. Useless app
Something not right with the picture location.
But picture looks very good.
Crashes a lot and my pictures are said to be taken in Afghanistan!
The algorithm doesnt seem ready yet. I demoed it in the house and all the straight lines from the walls were blurry.
Waiting for an update or else this would have been a waste of money.
I tried it taking photos for my kids . Unless they stand still for secs, it is useless for the high-res mode taking protrait for kids
Any slight movement and the results are unusable. Huge interlacing artifacts in hi-res shots, and enourmous black pixels in HDR video. Would love to love this app, but on my 5s its aweful.
